San Francisco Bay Sunset Sail
Sail Stats: 2.5 hours | Max sail area | Participation encouraged | Water and snack provided
Sunset in San Francisco is a magical time. If you are fortunate enough to witness the golden hour, you’ll see the light from the setting sun illuminate up the Golden Gate Bridge as lights start winking on downtown. A light layer of fog will roll in making the city glow as the sun dips below the horizon. The best place to view this scene is from the deck of USA 76 on a Sunset Sail.
A Sunset Cruise includes our regular San Francisco Bay tour with the bonus of a magnificent sunset. We’ll set sail from Pier 39 in the late afternoon and then we’ll hoist the sails and make our way to the Golden Gate Bridge. We’ll cruise past Alcatraz and the SF city front including Crissy Field and the Palace of Fine Arts. After passing under the Golden Gate, the sun will start its descent. Next, we’ll turn downwind to make our way home.
During this 2.5 hour sail, you will have plenty of time to admire the sunset then take pictures and help us sail this America’s Cup Racing Yacht. With 2,800 sq. ft. of sail area, our crew will need your help hoisting and trimming the sails. You will even have the opportunity to steer USA 76.
